Could not believe
almost all my seeds came in on the same day. Kept the UPS, USPS and
FedEx busy today! |
| Week of January 2, 2012 |
| Seed
orders have been sent, time to purge last year's seed catalogs. Every
year I get more and more. |

This
year I had 5 Saturdays at the Christmas Market. Christmas Eve day
was very busy and I am glad I went. |

| Some
of the many gourd bowls that I make and sell. |

My stall
at Christmas. We really lucked out on the weather this year. Mostly
in the 30's and no snow. My nephew came to visit me at the market. |

| I told
my husband when I came home from the market that I thought my brakes
were not working well. I went to park my truck and turn around at
the top of our hill, that is when I found my brakes had failed. I
aimed for this tree and it stopped me. It took my husband and 3 other
guys and 2 tractors to pull it back up the hill. I was out of brake
fluid.... |

Some
of the wood burned ornaments. These sell well for me; people like
the natural look of them. |

These
are some of my apple birdhouse gourds that I sell at Christmas. I
posted this on Facebook and sold all three that afternoon on Facebook. |

| This
week I made my herbal soaps for the Christmas market. They will now
have to cure for 3 weeks. 96 pounds of soap. |

This
is my annual field after all the crops have been cut down. Usually
I plant a cover crop of field rye, but this year I am going to get
a rolling dump of compost. |

| The
fall colors are at their peak...this is our pond. |

This
is one of last things going strong in the garden. We have still not
had a hard frost. Very unusual for our area. These are called Hairy
Balls. |
| Week of October 10, 2011 |
| This
time of the year I so love my Scag Mower...I have a leaf sweeper attachment
that sucks up all the leaves. These then go into my compost pile.
Such a great resource! |

I happened
upon these unusual mushrooms. They look rather suggestive. |
