| The sunflowers
are in full bloom! Last Saturday we had 50 bundles for sale. People
adore sunflowers...so summery! On the left is Earthwalker (a nice
brown) and on the right is Sunbrite (very large face). |

This a new gomphrena
called Fireworks. It is a little fussier to cut than regular gomphrena.
Anybody who grows and sells gomphrena know what I am talking about.
But despite the work involved I can sell all that I take to the market.
This seed is available through Harris Seeds. |

| Well,
now all the daylilies have been dug by the company who owns them.
Ordered 25 yards of hardwood mulch to repair the damage done by the
digging. |

| This
week's haul for the market. Getting ready to load...I look pretty
tired. |

Last
year I finished my perennial beds and entered into a gentlemen's agreement
to grow for a local company. This company brought over many iris's
and daylilies to be grown on. I kept asking for a contract and a year
went by and no contract. Finally, they sent one and it was ridiculous
and I could not make enough money for what he wanted. I told him he
had to the end of this summer to come get his stuff. They started
digging the iris's this week. |

| And
the other bench finished. But then he needed to rebuild the flower
bed for the manure spreader. This manure spreader was left on this
property from who knows how long ago. We designed our greenhouses,
shade area and flower beds around this unique yard art. |

My husband
refinished the one bench he found and it now sits behind our new barn. |

| My
husband manages properties for a living and happened by the dumpster
and found these beautiful bench frames. They are very ornate and just
need the bottom seats replaced. |
